i use adobe photoshop cs2. the last couple of days when i click on it it will come up and start loading then not respond. i can use imageready but when you try and swap it to photoshop the two don't respond. anyone know why?

I use to have that problem have you still got the main source of the cd where it come from if you have delete it then install it again and it should work perfect

i don't have it, no. and i mean when you are in image ready there is a button saying switch into photoshop meaning take the document you have open into photoshop and i think it closes image ready or just leaves it open with nothing in it. but it won't work full stop.

I'm thinking it's your RAM. How much do you have?
You might not have enough and your PC may be "lagging" out because it's struggling to open the second program. As it leaves both open.

i'm not great at the computer side of things, just the internet. so how do i check that? xD plus, even if i open just photoshop on it's own it doesn't work. [/blockquote]

You can check by going to Start>Control Panel>System and it should be located on there.
Also, has this just started happening? And if so, what's different with this time compared to before? Do you have a new background task running?

Press ALT+CTRL+Delete and tell me how many Processes you have running?

That's the amount of Applications you have running. I mean Processes (should be at the bottom of the window).
